One thing I like was Rabbi was from the south as up to 1880's Charleston SC was most Jewish city in US and many fought for the south and mentions Judah P. Benjamin was highest ranking jew reaching to Secretary of State for the CSA. A lot of the bankers and merchants were southern Jews usually Sephardic or German descent. Homestead Act they all cried but no actual Japanese who went into camps
