Season 2

Two brothers, Frank and Danny Kane, are the sons of Ma Kane who ran the South Side with a rod of iron. Frank has become a priest but leaves the church after a misunderstanding with the collection money. Frank inherits the Paradise Club on the death of their mother and returns to London to try and steer Danny away from the "family business" (crime) before the ladies of the police force can put him away.

When the prisoner makes his own escape from the police Danny is left with repaying the money Wally lost, closely watched by the Flying Squad. As Danny and bodyguard Jonjo plan a 'job' to raise the money, Frank has plans of his own and finally wins the money in a Chinese game of chance.

Hell's KitchenetteJust as Danny attempts to go straight he is visited by the Inland Revenue who want £230,000 in ten days or face arrest. The only asset he can sell now is the Paradise Club so Frank rallies around the residents to raise the cash.

Meanwhile, renovations to the Paradise Club leads to two fly-tippers taking a shortcut in disposing of its rubbish-leading another gangland leader, Mad Max Wheeler, to think that the Kanes are leaving a calling card.

Old PalsHarry Vincent, a former schoolmate of Danny and Carol Kane, interests Danny in a property investment in Africa. However, he has more sinister motives. Frank is holding a drag queen night at the Paradise Club, which brings him into contact with a call girl who has been beaten up by a client.

While Frank and Polish Joe earn a £5000 bonus for getting Ronnie safely out of the country, Danny can't resist carrying through the theft for himself.
