A parasitic advance guard from outer space strives to kill a physician, the only human who can hear them. The physician believes he's gone insane, first hearing the aliens right after suffering a knock out from a lab explosion. While his wife, the laboratory's assistant, comforts him, the lab's geologist is targeted for takeover by the parasites.
