Kip Roberts' wife Missy was murdered at home with bullets in her chest and feet while he's away on rafting weekend. Patrick sees straight through their broken marriage without visiting the murder scene. It becomes clear they had attended private counseling sessions from radio show host Buddy Hennings. Patrick intrudes on the show even before setting a trap. Meanwhile, the team encourages Rigsby to see if he can work out the problems with Grace.
