Hewy, Dewy, and Louie are sent to live with Uncle Scrooge when Donald decides to join the marines.Scrooge is unreceptive toward the boys at first, so they decide to amuse themselves. They find a model ship that they want to send to Uncle Donald, only they arn't the only ones who want the boat, The Beagle Boys want it to! The Beagles have been released from jail by a sinister character; L. Capatain. He wants the boat because it is really a treasure map. After a long chase through Scrooge's chocolate factory the beagle's are finally put back in the penn. L. Capatain wants the map though, so he and Flinthart Glomgold team up and follow Scrooge to Rongway, hoping he will lead them right to the treasure.They find a boat full of gold coins with an imprint of the sun. Scrooge and the boys set sail for home, only to have Glomgold and Capatain steal it from them.
