An ex-con tries to make good a frontier town, but many there are blindly opposed to him, including the owner of the general store and Jess Tyler, who's father founded the town. When Tyler accidentally hurts himself and leaves for a doctor, a blood stain causes the anxious townsfolk to assume the ex-con has killed him.
