Fearing that she may be doomed Carol moves back with her family, spreading panic. A Mark on the WorldSandra complains that she feels insignificant and wants to make her mark on the world and soon afterwards she is wrongly declared a heroine after a fugitive mugger gives her a stolen handbag and it is assumed that she fought him for it. Feeling guilty she shies away from publicity and determines that she will tell the truth but when she is invited onto a local radio show the desire for fifteen minutes of fame overcomes her scruples. - Love 'Em: And Almost Leave 'EmE4
Love 'Em: And Almost Leave 'EmCarol's heavily pregnant cousin Aveline comes to stay and makes it clear that she intends to raise her baby alone with no help from the father, a decision that strikes a chord with both Carol and Sandra, who likewise see themselves as independent women. However when Aveline is rushed to hospital and the father turns up to a welcome reception it sets Sandra ringing Paul and Carol making a date with the man with the sexy voice whose 'wrong number' she keeps dialling. - Oh, the Shame of ItE5
Oh, the Shame of ItCarol is smitten with Leonard, the former wrong number whom she is now dating. However her family is not happy to learn that Leonard takes photos for adult magazines and fear that he may be lining Carol up as the new centrefold. Cry PleaseCarol is still dating 'Wrong number' Leonard , who is trying to give her a more sophisticated image with an appreciation of the arts, something that her family and Sandra find worrying. The Nearly HatAfter helping an old lady market trader Carol and Sandra are inspired to start their own stall selling job lots bought cheaply from jumble sales and junk shops. Unfortunately they do not do very well and some of their stock gets stolen. Happily for them Sandra's mother comes to the rescue with her 'nearly' hat. - Yellow and Green Make BlueE8
Yellow and Green Make BlueThe girls decide to redecorate the flat though Carol does not like the dark green with which Sandra has painted the lounge and Sandra objects to a yellow bedroom. Then the furniture they have put out on the landing to clear the way for decorating is mistakenly collected by Social Services to go to a retirement home. The girls give chase but have not the heart to ask for it back again when they see how happy it has made the new owners.
