This British television baking competition selects from amongst its competitors the best amateur baker. The series is credited with reinvigorating interest in baking throughout the UK, and many of its participants, including winners, have gone on to start a career based on baking.

The five remaining bakers must work their way through childhood favourites and delicate french fancies to a mountainous choux pastry masterpiece.

Episode 9ChocolateFollow the semi-finalists as they come to grips with chocolate, a temperamental ingredient. The Signature task is chocolate tart, followed by chocolate soufflé in the Technical challenge. For the Showstopper, the bakers create chocolate centerpieces.
