Ten home baking enthusiasts will be put through a series of grueling elimination challenges, baking a mouth-watering selection of cakes, pies, tarts, pastries, bread, biscuits and desserts, all in the hope of being crowned Australia's Best Home Baker.

Winter Week

Winter WeekThe amateur bakers in the shed face three 'Winter themed' challenges, signature 16 Savoury Pastries with two shapes and fillings, the technical is to bake a Carrot and Cumin Tart, the showstopper is a Decorated Family Pie sweet or savoury.
Vintage Week

Vintage WeekThe amateur bakers in the shed must tackle three 'vintage' challenges: twelve signature profiteroles, a beef wellington technical wrapped in puff pastry, and a checkerboard cake showstopper with at least three distinct colours of cake.
Dessert Week

Dessert WeekThe amateur bakers in the shed must tackle three Dessert challenges: the signature is the bakers families favourite dessert, the technical is a hazelnut and tahini Opera Cake, and the showstopper is ice cream waffle cone shaped cake pops.
Citrus Week

Citrus WeekThe amateur bakers must tackle three Citrus challenges: the signature is 8 individual sized Citrus Tarts, the technical is a complicated Citrus Roulade, and the showstopper is a Citrus Meringue creation with at least one baked element.
International Week

International WeekThe amateur bakers take a trip around the baking world with Signature Turkish pides, a steamed Rainbow Lapis from South-East Asia, and super-size the famous French macaron with a Jacked Macaron Stack.
Chocolate Week

Chocolate WeekThe semifinal starts with a signature Decorated Chocolate Cake using various chocolate skills, technical is a tempered White Chocolate Marbled Heart containing two kinds of Petit Fours, the showstopper is a Mirror Glazed Cake Collection.
Final

FinalThe Final features a signature High Tea with three items that is a mixture of savoury and sweet, the technical is Maggie Beers Guinea Fowl Tureen, the final showstopper is a 3d Illusion Cake of any flavour, style or design they choose .
