The Force: Behind the Line

Season 8

The Force: Behind the Line is an Australian documentary television series about the Western Australia Police, hosted by Simon Reeve and aired nationally on the Seven Network from 22 August 2006. Similarly to Border Security: Australia's Front Line and the American Cops series, each episode intermixes three or four investigations per episode.

Against the backdrop of beautiful Sydney Harbour, NSW Water Police are on a three day maritime operation targeting boating safety. Then, at Darwin Airport officers from the Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk, aided by the drug detection dog 'Puma', are on duty for random checks of passengers and their baggage. And It doesn't take long Puma's finely tuned nose to pick up a scent.

However, the detectives strike a hurdle when it appears one of the main offenders has fled the country. Then, drink driving is no laughing matter as one man is about to discover. Officers in Perth spot a car driving erratically.
