I always wanted to know the story behind the shooting. What I didn't know then is, two years later, I would spend months looking into the incident for The Fifth Estate.
What we uncovered was a story even bigger than the sensational shooting. It's a story that touches on the secrecy and shortcomings of the police discipline process in Canada.
