When Greg Stillson's girlfriend Miranda Ellis disappears, he is put under pressure by Senator Ellis to find her. So, Stillson must reluctantly turn to Johnny Smith for help in locating her. But the more-sinister Malcolm Janus does not trust Johnny and wants to keep Stillson's nefarious plans for his own future under wraps at any cost.
