A Japanese consortium bids a fortune for the firm. Simon refuses to sell, Gordon is hell-bent on it, so the board is convened. Each expects equal support, except for a thus decisive Maverick: Sydney's ever-absent mother Paige Roberts. Simon reluctantly courts his ex all the way to bed while Gordon pulls every gay friend-register. Zach and Andrew's friendship is tested again over Megan, while jealous Sydney makes a pass on Andrew.
