Police officer Major Timur Martynov was killed. It turns out that on the ill-fated day, Martynov was going to a meeting with an informant. But instead of an informant, he encountered drug lord Barakin. A shootout ensued, resulting in both deaths. It turns out that someone set a trap. Kushnir finds out that Martynov went to the meeting instead of his partner Khabaravtsev, who changed plans due to his son's illness.
