Phyllis feels her age after Victoria describes her visit to a nightclub with Peter. Later, while shopping for her coming out wardrobe, Victoria and Lady Alice quarrel over Victoria's affinity for a cocktail dress. Peter persuades Victoria to apologize to Lady Alice for her behavior in the shop. The Bourne ladies express their gratitude to Peter for his kindness in a delicate family situation.
