Season 2
In its first season, father and daughter pediatricians, Dr. Sean Jamison and Dr. Anne Jamison, run a free clinic in Oahu, Hawaii. Starting in the second season, very proper Dr. Austin Chaffee shares office space with Dr. Sean Jamison, and finds the easy-going manner of the latter difficult to which to adjust. Mrs. Gruber, the rich widow who owns the clinic, was added to the series in the second season to develop problems that the Jamisons solved.

Stuffy allergist (Roger Bowen) and his bossy landlady (Nancy Kulp) do their bit to pep up the comedy show tonight. Bowen's Dr. Chaffee does everything by the book, and immediately attempts to run Dr. Jamison's office. Dr. Sean's problems mount when he loses Stewart (Sean Tyler Hall) in the crowd and when Puni (Victoria Young), his nurse, and Dr. Anne (Shelley Fabares), his daughter, arrive unexpectedly to help. His crowning shock comes when the camp honors his colleague, Dr. Chaffee (Roger Bowen), the last person he expects to see. Dr. Jamison's patients are in ecstasy over the formation of their new baseball team until a young lady decides she'd like to play with another sort of diamond- she wants to play on the team. A former classmate of Anne's turns up unexpectedly, intending to rent an apartment and write a book about her experiences as a hooker. Imagine Anne's surprise, followed by square Dr. Chaffee's utterly humorless delight in being asked to a party by the good looking gal in question The vice squad makes an appearance, of course.
