With all the passion, courage and dedication of her age, Margaret is determined to stop the highways construction crews cutting down a particularly historic tree that is growing in the path of their right-of-way. In her quest for support she appeals to Dr. David Suzuki who is visiting the area in search of a small arbutus tree which he plans to dwarf like the famous Bonsi enthusiasts of Japan. Such an achievement is called a Tray Tree. Although Margaret loses her quest she accept's Suzuki's offer of the arbutus.
