Nick offers to help Constable John when he takes his five-member boy troop of Young Men In Action into the bush for two days so they can win their survival badges. A series of mishaps to John turn the outing into a genuine survival exercise and before they get back, the boys have been forced to face up to the more serious aspects of trust, teamwork and sharing.
