Rando Beggerow already had two flaws when he was born. On the one hand, he is born as the third son into the family of the pig thief Alex Beggerow, on the other hand he is the fruit of an affair with his mother Dorothea while the father was serving his sentence. Rando is later found guilty of the death of his foster father, who dies in a muddy gravel pit while saving Rando from drowning.
