Season 1

Based on the novel of the same name by Saud Alsanousi, a Kuwaiti-Filipino man goes to Kuwait in search of his father. He grapples with his mixed heritage as well as fitting in with his paternal family and Kuwaiti society.

    Episode 1Josephine Mendoza escapes the poverty in the Philippines and flees to Kuwait where she works as a maid. When she meets Rashid, a Kuwaiti aristocrat, they develop feelings for one another.

    Episode 21When Eissa is overcome with despair one night, Losaminda tries to comfort him. Nour's jealousy gets Losaminda fired so she tries to commit suicide. Khawla has a mental breakdown when she learns that Jaber is feigning his interest in her when he is actually in love with Nour.

    Episode 22Both Khawla and Losaminda recover. Khawla still holds a grudge against Nour.

    Episode 23The tentative peace between Ghanima and Eissa is disturbed when the former requests the latter of helping Jaber's mother. Eissa is informed that his cousin Mirla disappeared.

    Episode 25The whole situation changes after Rashid's death. Ghanima sees Eissa as a harbinger of bad luck and wants him out, but Eissa has already decided to leave.

    Episode 26Jaber's mother declares her desire for Jaber to marry Nour. But Nour refuses and declares that she is in love with Eissa. Upset by the declaration, Ghanima blacks out.
