Peter Parker has a laboratory accident that changes his life. He finds himself with greatly increased strength, the ability to stick to walls to climb them without needing hand and footholds and a "spider-sense" (presented in this series as clairvoyance) that allows him to sense danger. Designing a costume and a webshooter that allows him to fire a strong artificial web, he fights crimes as Spider-Man.

The Con CaperWhen Rita's former boss James Colbert is released from jail, she is there to support him. Shortly afterwards, a prison riot breaks out and Colbert volunteers to act as negotiator. Peter Parker goes along to cover the story and soon uncovers a plan by convicts as Spider-Man.

The Kirkwood HauntingA widow is haunted by the spirit of her late husband, who tells her to donate his estate to a private organization which investigates paranormal phenomenon. Jameson, being a friend of the family and knowing Parker is a graduate student in physics, asks Parker to investigate.

Photo FinishParker suspects he is being used to frame an innocent person when he develops an incriminating photograph he didn't take. He is then jailed for contempt when he doesn't turn the photo over to the police.
