The Afternoon Play

Season 1

The Afternoon Play is a series of individual plays which sometimes appear on BBC One during weekday afternoons. The first series began on 27 January 2003, and as of 2008 there have been five series. Each play has a separate story and cast.

  • Heroes and Villains

    Heroes and VillainsClassic gang-show comedy set on a deprived housing estate. Jonny steals some dodgy leather jackets that turn out to have drugs in them, and they are sold to the locals before Marlene gets a tip-off and realises they must be retrieved
  • Girls' Weekend

    Girls' WeekendKate's hen weekend is beset with disasters, culminating in a vodka-fuelled revelation.
