The women's club is putting on a dance with a nautical theme, and the men think of a novel attraction- a beauty queen will dress in a mermaid costume will splash about in a small pool at the dance. The night of the dance, the girl is caught in the costume, and Dave must carry her in and out of the car, which fatefully blows a tire.
