During WWII, young Shuro meets famous pitcher Eiji S., who dreams of gathering 9 Astro Superhumans -each born on September 9, 1954 at 9:09:09 with baseball-shaped birthmarks- to form a team. After Eiji dies, Shuro vows to fulfill his wish.
