Prospects on either front don’t look good. Still, sage advice from psychology tutor and best friend Susan and not-so-sage advice from fellow teachers Brian and Kurt might help. Or not ….

Episode OneSimon’s life is a tragedy. He’s attracted to his dad’s fiancée, the stripper he just slept with is actually a real policewoman, and Jenny is livid after he told the students her lessons were boring.

Episode TwoSimon suffers under Jenny as Acting Head of Year when Arnie is found with cannabis; this results in a drugs talk and Simon upsetting new girlfriend, Maggie. Susan prepares to apply for the role of Head of Year herself.

Episode ThreeMaggie’s upset that Simon was clearly so embarrassed of her when she met his friends, so she stops returning his calls. Brian and Kurt let Simon move into their flat, which is a relief. At first ….

Episode FourSimon helps Pauline and Cheryl sort out problems with their love lives; this goes disastrously wrong when he mentions the problems to Kurt and Brian. Simon is concerned that his relationship has hit a low point sexually.

Episode FiveWhen some of the students lock Jenny and Simon in the stationery cupboard for a prank all of Simon's lust for Jenny finally comes to the fore and, much to his surprise, she does not resist. Fed up with sleeping on the sofa in Kurt and Brian's untidy flat he agrees to move in with Maggie and they have a house-warming party. Simon is apprehensive when Jenny turns up but rather than spill the beans on him she leaves arm in arm with Brian.

Episode SixSusan is under great pressure with the organisation of an open evening when she makes a massive decision about her marriage; she is then deeply upset that Simon lets her down and does not support her.

Episode SevenWhile Simon faces the truth about his father, the school is littered with pornographic images. Simon finds himself between a rock (Pauline's chest) and a hard place (Bob's office) which is something he cannot get someone else to do.

Episode EightSimon is haunted by nightmares as his job interview approaches. While Kurt and Brian want Simon to get the job, they are distracted by a female applicant. At the Xmas party Jenny does something she might come to regret.
