Taggart is a Scottish detective television program. The series revolves around a group of detectives initially in the Maryhill CID of Strathclyde Police, though various storylines have happened in other parts of the Greater Glasgow area, and as of the most recent series the team have operated out of the fictional John Street police station across the street from the City Chambers.

HellfireOn April 30th a businessman James Martin is murdered with a chainsaw under suspicious curcumstances and Taggart, Jardine and Reid are assigned to investigate. DS Reid goes undercover to investigate the prime suspect.
Prayer for the Dead

Prayer for the DeadTaggart is promoted to Acting Superintendent after Jack McVitie takes a heart attack. When two young girls are murdered Taggart starts to wonder whether Jardine and Reid are up to the job. A Polish woman is later found murdered.

Black OrchidTony Sabina is weer in de stad, "The Great Sabina" voor zijn fans. Zijn hypnotische show is gebaseerd op vrijwilligers, waaronder een jonge man genaamd Stuart Fraser en een meisje genaamd Frances Shaw. Frances, die door hypnose gelooft dat ze het kanaal over kan zwemmen, wordt na de show verdronken teruggevonden. De resulterende publiciteit laat Sabins carrière aan flarden en hij besluit wraak te nemen op iedereen die bijdraagt aan zijn ondergang. Jardine en Reid onderzoeken een serie moorden die mogelijk "op bestelling" zijn uitgevoerd.
