Have you ever wondered how fruit and vegetables grow? So have Barney and Pippa. They join their Grampy and his friends at the Sunny Bank Gardens where they play, learn and grow their own fruit and vegetables - and have amazing adventures along the way!

    Sowing the SeedsPippa and Barney visit their Grampy at his vegetable garden to help him grow his own fruit and vegetables. The children are confused that there's nothing growing and the patch is empty. Grampy teaches the children how to plant their own seeds. They meet Grampy's garden friends - Scary Joe (a scarecrow who really isn't that scary) and Mr Robin.

    New FriendsAt Grampy's garden Pippa and Barney are making up a song to help list all the crops that are growing. As they work they meet Ted, whose Mum also has a garden at Sunny Bank. Ted's Mum is from Jamaica and the children hear about the different Caribbean vegetables they're planning to grow. They all help put Ted's veggies in the song too.

    Wiggly WormsPippa has saved up her pocket money and brought some special tomato plants to grow with Grampy and Barney. As she's digging she comes across a really long worm.
  • Community Day

    Community DayIts spring cleaning time at Sunny Bank and the gardeners are having a community day, everyone pitches in to help make the gardens tidy and clean. Pippa helps paint Marco's shop, Barney and Ted are off on a litter picking expedition and find some very strange things! And, of course, there's the community day BBQ!
  • Rain, Rain, Go Away?

    Rain, Rain, Go Away?It's pouring with rain and the kids are cross that they have to hide in the Shed. Grampy is thrilled though and explains how the important the rain is for the crops. Barney hopes the rain will help him grow bigger and they all have fun in the mud once the rain stops!
  • Bug Hunt

    Bug HuntThe crops have small creatures on the them. Could it be Aliens?! The children investigate and learn all about the different types of bugs in the garden. They even build a little bug house to welcome the bugs to the garden.
  • Flowers and Buzzy Bees

    Flowers and Buzzy BeesLots of flowers are in bloom and the garden is looking beautiful, but Barney doesn't see why they should bother growing something you can't eat. Grampy explains that flowers are just as important as vegetables as they help the buzzy bees! Scary Joe teaches the children all about the bees and how they help the garden.
  • Spaghetti Bolognese

    Spaghetti BologneseGrampy and the kids would like to make something for dinner that is made with vegetables they've grown at the garden. They go to ask Marco for ideas and decide on Spaghetti Bolognese. Pippa and Barney search for all the ingredients in the garden and take them home to cook.
  • Weeds

    WeedsGrampy has been unwell and so, whilst he's been away, the children have been looking after his garden for him. But they didn't realize that some of the plants they were watering were weeds.
  • Chickens

    ChickensThere's an escaped Chicken in the garden - who could it belong to and how are they going to catch it? Barney and Pippa are on the case. They go to investigate and make some new friends. They also learn about some of the animals in the gardens.
  • Summer Harvest

    Summer HarvestIt's the most exciting day of the year!! After all the hard work that the time has finally come to pick all the tasty crops they've grown. There's even a competition for everyone to enter their biggest and best crops. Grampy, Pippa and Barney have all entered some of their crops and Barney has big dreams of winning the grand prize. All their garden friends are there!
  • The Spooky Scarecrow

    The Spooky ScarecrowThere's a Halloween party at Sunny Bank. Pippa, Barney and learn about carving pumpkins with Grampy. Scary Joe needs help though and Pippa has a plan to help him get his scare back. Spooky, fancy dress fun for everyone.
