Cormoran Strike is a private detective with a colourful past. He lost a leg while serving in Afghanistan and his father is a famous rockstar. His small agency is barely staying afloat, largely taking on humdrum cheating spouse cases. Then he hires Robin Ellacott, initially as a receptionist, and things change. The cases get more interesting, and dangerous, and, moreover, they make a formidable team.
Strike Ratings & Reviews
- makdelartApril 21, 2026An atmospheric and laid-back, quintessentially British crime series: a brilliant soundtrack, the charming streets of London, bustling pubs, elegant interiors, plenty of British flavour, and Cormoran Strike and his utterly charming partner, Robin. I often found myself more engrossed in the character-driven storyline involving Robin and her relationship with Strike than in the actual crime case they were solving. A treat for fans of unhurried, traditional-style British crime dramas. I love it.
