Though, with the sheer number of Star Wars projects, not just animated, Tales of the Empire feels less like a rare treat and more like another drop in an ever-expanding sea of content.

- JoelMay 4, 2025I’m kinda tired of Star Wars animation being stuck in the same time period, with the same characters, and the same animation style. This is just so incredibly safe and boring. The very opening scene with Ventress and the very last scene with Cad Bane were great. Everything in between is a snooze fest. Time to leave this era behind if this is the type of content we’re gonna be getting from it. Tales of the Jedi and Empire were much more enjoyable.
