With all Gamilan forces being ordered to disengage their attacks following Deslar's treachery, Captain Okita's crew imagine it will be a speedy trip back to Earth. Unfortunately, this illusion is shattered when a sinister new enemy emerges to exploit the power vacuum left in the Yamato's wake. Chosing to retreat rather than risk capture, the Yamato takes shelter on an enigmatic planet where nothing is what it seems.
