Bolo is convinced that Pakulska is alive and starts looking for her. A technician puts up posters around the city to help find the missing person. His friends from the police station have a different opinion and fear that Kowalski still cannot face the truth. However, the skeptical Walczak partially changes his mind when it turns out that someone is tearing down the posters, as if trying to prevent the pathologist from finding her. The situation becomes even more disturbing when Kowalski - who decided on his own to find out who was sabotaging the attempts to find his friend - disappears without a trace.
