Suzanne and Jim Shemwell head out for a simple afternoon snowmobile excursion in the Boise National Forest. The mountain is covered with fresh powder, but it is snowing and temperatures are dropping. After a freak accident they are stranded overnight as a massive snowstorm blows in. Next, Jean Geer drives to a remote part of Olympic National Park in Washington state with her dogto spread the ashes of her late husband. But in her grief, she becomes disoriented and can't find her way back.
