Season 1 Reviews
Buffalo News

Son of the Beach is everything you'd expect from a series from Howard Stern Productions. Tasteless, irreverent and more than occasionally funny enough to make you feel just a little bit guilty about laughing.
Variety
Phil Gallo
Were it just a goof it might draw a cult audience the way Stack's Nightstand With Dick Dietrick did. But this is too far over the top, and even fans of FX's The X Show will find it wearisome after a few weeks.
Entertainment Weekly
Ken Tucker
The exact TV equivalent of a good MAD magazine spoof.
Bullz-Eye.com
Will Harris
Yes, Son of the Beach can be funny, and, yes, you will probably laugh despite yourself, but for most, the laughs will turn to groans within a few episodes.
Washington Post
John Maynard
The star of the show is clearly [Tim] Stack, whose deadpan delivery may make him the Leslie Nielsen of the new millennium.
South Florida Sun-Sentinel
Tom Jicha
Son of the Beach is exactly the type of show you'd expect from Howard Stern. It's racy, raucous, raunchy and ridiculous. If those things don't rile you, it's also riotously funny.
IGN DVD
Jeremy Conrad
The show may be silly, low budget, gross, offensive, but it doesn't take itself seriously at all while delivering some good laughs from time to time.
Los Angeles Times
Diane Werts
[Howard] Stern and [Timothy] Stack deliver precisely what they mean to -- a breezy, bawdy burlesque.
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Rob Owen
It may not hold up on a weekly basis, but this first trip to the Beach is outrageous fun.
