Snuffy's SongBarney Google decides to cash in on the current music rage by recording the song that Snuffy Smith sings as he chops wood. Believing that Snuffy's song will make them a fortune in the recording business, Barney encourages Snuffy and his wife Louise to travel to New York City to make a record of the song at the Sam Stereo Recording Company. The recording executive is impressed with the man's talent... but when Snuffy's still explodes and wrecks the recording studio, the deal is off, and the angry recording company executive throws the trio out. - The HatE2
The HatSnuffy, Barney and Louise are stranded in the big city with no money for a mule and a wagon until a pair of gangsters offer to buy them one if they will just deliver a note and a satchel to the nearby bank. Desperately in need of funds to return to Hootin' Holler, Snuffy gets a job helping out the men by standing guard outside of a building... not realizing that he's becoming an unwitting pawn to a pair of bank robbers. Pie in the SkyIn order to go after the big money, Snuffy and Barney gather blackbirds for Louise's blackbird pie for the annual pie-baking contest in the big city. As usual, Snuffy inadvertently lets the crows out of the pie crust, and the blackbirds wreck the contest, leaving the Smiths the only winners... and losers. The Berkely SquaresSnuffy and Louise receive a telegram informing them that they have inherited their late Uncle Cromwell Smith's estate in England. Snuffy's long-lost English cousins leave him with a fortune and a castle: the rich uncle has left him a million dollars. Barney has his cousins head for Great Britain to claim their new fortune. Louise and Barney accept the wealth, but a hillbilly can't have fun with butlers: Snuffy is weary of the fancy life. He sells the property to a con man for a pittance. Barney convinces Snuffy that George Washington crossed the Delaware in this car. Besides, Barney puts in a new rubber band for an engine. Barney tries to pull the wool over Snuffy's eyes in the fast deal. But Snuffy's new heap turns out to be a valuable antique. An eccentric car collector trades Snuffy's and Lousie's car for his limousine. The pair get the better deal, and poor Barney gets nothing. - Snuffy Runs the GamutE11
Snuffy Runs the GamutWhen he finds out from Louise that the rabbit has been stealing the Smiths' carrots again. Snuffy tries to clobber the pesky animal by throwing a plate at him. The angry hillbilly misses the rabbit. Seeing golden opportunity in his cousin's athletic abilities, Barney- luring him with tales of rabbit-chasing- suggests that he enter the Olympic Games as a means to catch the rabbit. At the Olympic Games, the rabbit beats out the Russian, French, British and Japanese competitors... and even poor Snuffy. In the end, the rabbit wins the games, and Barney ties up Snuffy in a bag and signs up the animal for future athletic events. - The Tourist TrapE12

Jughead decides to play a practical joke on his uncle by making him believe that he has slept for 20 years. The ghosts of the gnomes from the Washington Irving story are not pleased by the boy's stupid prank, and they decide to teach him a lesson. - Snuffy Goes to CollegeE14
Snuffy Goes to CollegeA letter, arriving 30 years late, sends Snuffy to college. Snuffy, Barney Google and Louise receive scholarships to Backward University. Snuffy refuses to go. His wife and his cousin convince him that this could be beneficial to him. At Backward U., Snuffy proves to be the worst student that the college ever had... until he gets hit with a football, and a clout on the head gives him new mental powers. He becomes the school's most brilliant scholar!
