Is based on two collections of stories "Smoke Bellew" and "Smoke and the Kid" by American writer Jack London. The adventures of two friends during the gold rush in America - Smok and the Kid. Their life in the harsh North is full of difficult trials, but inexhaustible optimism, energy, humor and, of course, strong male friendship help them to overcome all hardships and obstacles with dignity. The heroes of the film firmly believe that conscience does not freeze even in the most severe frost, and gold mining is something like a sports hobby; risk, dangerous adventures, and sometimes difficult trials, these people go through. Their pathos is not in the struggle for gold, but in the struggle for human souls.
