Skippy, created by actor John McCallum and film director Lee Robinson, was produced for the Nine Network from 1966 to 1968. It told the adventures of a young boy and his intelligent pet kangaroo in Waratah National Park, outside Sydney. By the end of 1969, Skippy was reportedly screened in 80 countries-more than any other TV show in the world. It led to books, toys and a feature film called The Intruders (1969).

Honest JackSonny finds a man chopping down trees in Waratah National Park and when Sonny tells him it is illegal, the determined man insists that he owns the land. Matt Hammond has received word from Jerry of a bulldozer clearing land in the Park, and Mark radios in from his patrol boat that someone is building a fence down by the river. It transpires that "Honest Jack", a slick operator, has been selling blocks of land in Waratah National Park. For his final scam he tries to sell off Ranger Headquarters as an 'ideal home'. - ChickenE6
ChickenSonny discovers two dead possums in their tree trunk home and Matt is disturbed by the number of dead animals that have been found in the bush over the last three days. When Skippy is poisoned and almost dies, Matt calls in Veterinarian Officer John Manson. A poultry farmer with a grudge against Matt is responsible and Matt tricks him into revealing his guilt and the location of the poison. - The MineE8
The MineMatt Hammond is expecting a visit by a man to assist with blowing up an abandoned mine in Waratah National Park. The man turns out to be an old army buddy, Toby Boughton. Hide and SeekMark and Jerry go to investigate when Clancy notices someone lurking near the helicopter hangar. Jerry is astounded to find someone he has known since childhood. Flying SaucersSonny and Skippy see a flying saucer but the story is difficult to believe without seeing Sonny's photographic evidence — which he has lost. The HikersTwo botany teachers hiking in the National Park ignore Sonny and Jerry's warnings and procede into a dangerous area only to run into an emergency when one is bitten by a snake. TigerAn amateur photographer shows Mark and Sonny some photos of an unusual animal which Matt thinks could be the long-extinct Tasmanian tiger. An expert is called in to verify the finding and while Mark has his suspicions, it is Sonny who discovers the men are working together to poach animals.
