    Episode 1Exodus to Tomorrow!The members of the Kaminoyama Animation Club, Aoi, Ema, Shizuka, Misa and Midori swore upon donuts that one day, they would all work in the anime industry. Two and a half years later, they are heading toward those dreams and all the hardships that come with them. Aoi is now working as a production assistant at an animation studio and doing her best. After getting key frames from one of the animation supervisors, she returns to the office but there's no one around.

    Episode 2Arupin is Here!Aoi is panicking a little at the fact that episode four is a little behind. She manages to enlist the help of Endou, the animation supervisor for episode three, and is able to stabilize things a bit. However, as soon as one hardship leads to another. While at the episode four dubbing, Aoi is present when the director and animation director are discussing retakes. The director is moved by one of the voice actor's performances, and starts talking about the scene not being right.

The reason was an explosion scene that was supposed to be hand drawn was now going to be done in 3D. Tarou was supposed to tell Endou about the change, but the way he tells him ends up setting off a whole new problem.

    Episode 6Idepon Miyamori: On the MoveDespite seeing the 3D-rendered explosion scene, Ryōsuke refuses to return to work, citing that things had already gone far enough. Becoming agitated by Tarō's attitude, Aoi finally informs Honda of his failure to handle the situation between Ryōsuke and Yūichirō. Honda decides to tell Seiichi about the situation as well, but discovers that he had somehow managed to escape his confinement so he could sneak off to the after-recording session. Meanwhile, production assistant Tatsuya Ochiai is given an offer by his friend, line producer Houjou Hiroaki, to work at Studio Canaan, another anime studio, but Tatsuya turns down the offer. Later, Aoi and Erika discuss the possibility of hand-drawn animation being phased out by 3D animation completely. Aoi then hears from Misa about how, even as a 3D creator, she needed to study up a lot of hand-drawn animation to get an artistic sense.

She goes to Segawa-san's house and asks what she thinks about Ema's drawings now, after the harsh criticism she had prior. Meanwhile, in the studio, Ema was flustered. She can't draw a realistic cat.

    Episode 9What Do You Think I Was Trying to Say?Director Kinoshita's storyboards seem to never finish, and Musashino Animation is in a panic. Aoi thinks about how many days they have until the delivery of goods and gets frazzled. Around the same time, Misa was troubled, as well.

    Episode 10Just One MoreDuring the morning assembly, Honda announces that Seiichi will be finished with the storyboards tomorrow, which would still leave the studio with five weeks to deliver the final episode, an unusually short amount of time for such a task to be completed. Later on, Aoi receives an email containing some research about diesel trains from Midori, who had been hoping to help her out on her workload. During a phone call between them, Midori informs Aoi about Misa's situation at work. While delivering a dombra over to the sound department at Sawara Studio for Marukawa, Aoi is forced to help sound effects engineer Toshiyasu Kawano in creating some sound effects for another anime, a process that earns her intrigue. Later, she gets together with the other girls for dinner at her apartment. When Misa contemplates quitting her job, Aoi gives her some advice based on what she learned from Kawano, asking her to figure out where she wants to go before worrying about how to get there.

However, she is having a hard time finding someone to take the more difficult cuts. She then tries to go to other companies to see if they'll take the frames. One of them happens to be a company she interviewed at and didn't get the job.
