"Sherlock Holmes" is a Russian detective television series produced by the film company Central Partnership, filmed by director Andrey Kavun based on Arthur Conan Doyle's stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes. Eight stories about the adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson have been filmed, each of which has two episodes. The series includes new versions of stories, as well as stories, first transferred to the Russian screen.

He came to London with the intention of opening a private medical practice, but he even dreamed of becoming a writer. It is not known how the fate of the doctor would have been if he had not witnessed one incident that eyewitnesses considered to be an accident. And only one of the crowd said with confidence when the police arrived at the scene that this was a premeditated murder, and suggested that the doctor go to the station to testify. Small is wounded and dies in the arms of the doctor. Watson refuses to believe that Small is a murderer and robber. Holmes is taken to help get to the truth. The case is mysterious and dangerous. He assumes that a gang of cab-men is operating in the city. The bait should be a photograph, which depicts all of them - still young officers, graduates of a military school, along with one of their teachers. The next day, the beautiful Irene Adler appears in the Holmes apartment. After her visit, the photo disappears.

Sherlock Holmes has time to detain the killer. It turns out to be Mr. Calway - an unremarkable man in the street, whose only weakness is the game of cards. On the day Calway must be hanged, Holmes wonders: why Miss Elizabeth's parents were not in the courtroom? This circumstance seems suspicious to him.

Holmes makes the assumption that the case of the red-haired gentleman and the death of Mr. Buckley are only part of a cunning plan.

Holmes, along with Dr. Watson on call of the graph immediately arrive at the crime scene. She left a message to Sherlock in the form of a conventional sign. Sherlock is sure that it is a desperate plea for help. Irene Adler, the woman who broke his heart, turned to Holmes. To Watson's even greater surprise, Sherlock Holmes intends to find and save Irene. Even at the cost of his own life.
