At this time when the Constitution is being challenged, whether here or in the USA, for example, let's understand where this concept comes from and how it interacts with who we are in society. Currently, constitutionalism is the ideology that generally governs the system of organization of States. The existence of a Constitution, written or not, implies a series of legal norms that limit governments, laws and judges, either by imposing procedures to be followed or by providing basic rights to citizens. However, not only was the organization of powers not always like this, but also the constitutional system itself has undergone many changes since its birth.
