Season 1

Ever since gifted conductor Natsume’s wife and daughter left him five years ago, he has isolated himself from the music scene. Then one day, he decides to return to Japan for the first time in decades to conduct a small town orchestra and return to his estranged daughter, Hibiki, who loathes him and his music. Now he must try to thaw a relationship with his daughter frozen in time for five years, and learn to be a father.

However, Shumpei had no way of knowing at the time. The worst had happened to his daughter Hibiki. Five years later, in autumn 2023. Shumpei had quit his job as a conductor and was alone in Vienna. His family had left him. Shumpei receives a call from Shiho in Japan for the first time in five years. Shiho, a painter, has taken a job in France and asks him to look after her children in Japan. Thus, Shumpei returns home for the first time in 20 years. Shumpei is then told by Shiraishi Issei, the mayor of Harumi, about the difficult situation the Harumi Philharmonic is in. Furthermore, when he goes to a practice session of the Harumi Philharmonic Orchestra, he hears something else...

    Second Movement: Ending orchestra, birth.Shiho (Yuriko Ishida), who was supposed to be in France on business, was in Japan. And Furuya (Tetsuji Tamayama) knew about it. There was a deep reason for this. Shumpei (Hidetoshi Nishijima), who has no way of knowing this, takes over as conductor of the Harumi Philharmonic Orchestra. He runs into Mayor Shiraishi (Fuchigami Yasushi), who reminds him that the hall will close in three months and the orchestra will be discontinued in three months as planned. Furthermore, Shiraishi orders his subordinates to remove the sheet music that the Harumi Philharmonic Orchestra has collected over the past 40 years. Furuya and Daiki (Miyazawa Hyogi) are at a loss at the forceful approach of the mayors. Shumpei, however, is unconcerned and proposes a new piece of music to be performed. They also decide to recruit new members. ...... Meanwhile, Hibiki (Ashida Aina) receives an order from her boss Takita (Yamamoto Keisuke).

    Third Movement: Miracle of the Rural ConcertShumpei (Hidetoshi Nishijima) proposes a concert at the Harumi Philharmonic Hall. However, due to pressure from the city, the hall is no longer available. With the Harumi Philharmonic Orchestra in disarray due to the lack of a place to perform, the orchestra members also quarrel over the performance. Ren (Sato Himi), who is at a professional level, vehemently criticises the members for their performance mistakes, and Daiki (Miyazawa Hyoui) leaves the rehearsal in the middle of the performance. With the orchestra members in the worst mood, Shunpei proposes to perform in a bizarre place. Meanwhile, Hibiki (Ashida Mana) is forced to sabotage the Harumi Philharmonic Orchestra under orders from her boss. Shumpei sees this and goes to Hibiki's room.
