Welcome to BaysideNew transfers to Bayside include three students from arch-rival Valley High: R.J. ""Hollywood"" Collins, head cheerleader Maria Lopez and Ryan Parker, who stole Bayside's mascot the year before. The old gang greatly resents these newcomers. Ryan makes plans to date Lindsay, make Maria the head cheerleader and get R.J. to emcee the Welcome Back dance. The two groups fight so much that Mr. Belding makes them stay on separate sides of the gym at the dance and wear identifying badges. But before the night ends, the enemies all dance with each other. Also, Tommy D. is thinking of how to get back together with his old girlfriend, Lindsay. - The Love BugsE2
The Love BugsMaria and the others are trying to win tickets to the Grungefest from the radio station, but Lindsay wins them on her first try! Tommy has told Lindsay that he wants to get back together with her, so she must choose between him and Ryan. The girls hold a slumber party to help Lindsay decide. Tommy borrows some high-tech communication equipment that Screech has bought for the school and he plans to bug Lindsay's room. Ryan has the same idea, though, and he gets R.J. to help. Eventually all the boys end up hiding in Lindsay's closet or under her bed. A few more misunderstandings occur until Lindsay finally decides to go to the show with Maria. - Driving SchoolE3
Driving SchoolScreech is assigned to teach drivers ed for the school. When Maria fails the class, she convinces a reluctant Screech to pass her so she can get a car for her 16th birthday. Meanwhile, Ryan, R.J. and Rachel plan to buy a car for themselves by scamming money from the school band, geeks and football hunks. They then must use the car they bought for the groups they scammed after Maria dents Mr. Belding's car while driving hers. - What's the ProblemE4
What's the ProblemRachel reluctantly agrees to tutor Bayside's football star in history and soon discovers that he is suffering from dyslexia, which enables him not to see letters clearly. Air ScreechDuring a weekend at the Palisade Hills mall, Ryan schemes to win Lindsey's affections by teaming with R.J. in a get-rich-quick scheme to sell students custom-made "Air Screech" athletic shoes from the sporting goods store where Mr. Belding and Screech work. Big Screech on CampusThe gang goes for a week-long study program at California University where Ryan helps Screech become reacquainted with his old fraternity Sigma Alpha in order to make Screech feel better after his former frat mates don't seem to care about him. Hollywood, Here He IsThe gang assembles a news magazine program for Baysides new cable-TV station. But after a disastrous start, Ryan and the gang fake several events to boost the ratings. Ryan's Worst NightmareRyan goes out on a date with Lindsey when he should be at home studying for an important physics test. So, he tricks Screech into having a fire drill so he can avoid taking the test. But Screech turns on the sprinkler system which ruins the homecoming float the gang builds. When the gang and Mr. Belding find out that Ryan was responsible for the disaster, they all join forces to get back at him in a very cruel way. - Prom DatesE12
Prom DatesThe Bayside Junior Prom arrives and Mr. Belding puts Screech in charge to reduce budget costs. Lindsey is asked to the prom by both Tommy and Ryan. So she must make a choice that will affect both of them. Meanwhile, R.J. asks the attractive Valerie to the prom, but her wary big brother warns R.J. not to touch her, and Rachel is depressed that no guy has asked her to the prom. - Thomas D.E13
Thomas D.Tommy has fallen for a girl named Nicole, but he's afraid she's too classy and cultured for him. He confides to Rachel that he's trying to write poetry for Nicole. Tommy reads a poem of Rachel's in class and gets an ""A."" Nicole is impressed, and Tommy makes a date with her--at the opera! Ryan schemes along with R.J. to make Tommy appear cultured, hoping to impress Nicole's father so that they can get Boys II Men tickets from him (he's the manager of the L.A. Amphitheatre) and take out Lindsay and Maria. Tommy is now nervous about meeting Mr. Miller and feels like a phony. Nicole tells Rachel and Lindsay how cultured ""Thomas"" is, which causes the girls to bust out laughing. When Nicole finds out from them that Tommy didn't write the poem, she's mad at him for deceiving and using her and doesn't want to see him. Meanwhile a school ballet production is called off, disappointing Nicole. Tommy volunteers to dance in the production so Nicole's father can see her perform, and he recruits the - Fear of FallingE14
Fear of FallingAn ankle injury during gymnastics practice on the uneven bars sidelines Lindsay and leaves her fearful to compete with the other girls. Meanwhile, Tommy becomes the water boy of the team after losing a bet with Rachel, and Ryan tries to make more people come to the gymnastics meet to keep it from going under by fabricating a story about Michael Jordan will be attending the gymnastics event at Bayside. - The Principal's PrinciplesE15
