Vasiliy Baranov, who has built a business abroad, falls under foreign sanctions and loses everything overnight. The news will find him in his native Semibolotsk, where he has not been for almost thirty years. Vasiliy turns to his family for support, but no one talks to him. Thinking that the reason lies in his sudden poverty, the former oligarch decides to get rich again in order to regain the respect of his father and the former bride, and now the wife of the mayor. Baranov's only ally is a local taxi driver, whose wife, for some reason, is strongly opposed to her husband's communication with the ex-billionaire.
