Gert and his speaking dog Samson live together in the 'Dorpstraat 101', where they have lots of funny adventures with their friends. The tubby hairdresser Albert, the clumsy mayor and his hyperactive secretary as well as grocery store owners Octaaf and Jeanine De Bolle each contribute in a great way to the story.

De acrobatenAfter Octaaf saw circus artists in the city, he's determined to do a similar act with Alberto (paid in chocolate), Gert and Samson, but can't pull off eve the simplest stunt. As the mayor already committed the town-hall as venue and Marleneke is expected to attend, Gert thinks up some tricks. De hamster van OctaafOctaaf thinks he found and caught a mouse and calls it Chico. Gert notices it's a hamster, but females still freak out on sight, so it's banned from the shop. The mayor gives away that it's actually hidden so the mean shopkeeper comes look for it, but Gert manages to get them out just in time. De dames van de hobbyclubThe ladies hobby club president is so badly organized that she missed her own club trip. thus she's home to consider the national organization's haughty president's notice of an impending visit, the only way to get mentioned, with picture, in the national magazine. All other members however are on the bus trip, and the mayor's maid is visiting her mother. So the mayor and Gert's even more reluctant gang are commandeered to cross-dress as 'lady members' and learn the club's silly crafts in a jiffy. None of it makes a less then miserable impression on the president, the countess of Asseldelft, except the home-baked waffles. - De sprekende kameelE23
De sprekende kameelGert and Samson plan to raise money for the orphanage, so the children can attend the circus. They have to postpone that because Octaaf bugs them he's bored till they accept to play for an hour with him using walkie-talkies. His 'exciting messages' are dead boring or poor lies, so Gert doesn't believe the one true discovery: an escaped camel from the circus. The beast's gluttony ends up satisfying all parties in a weird way. - De krokodilE32
De krokodilGert bough Samson an inflatable crocodile, but accidentally ruins it beyond repair with a hot iron while phoning. Samson is inconsolable and the job out of crocodiles, but the mayor promises to send one. As a crazy prank, he gets his mate Theofiel to deliver a live reptile. Scared stiff, Gert hides in the cellar with Samson and desperately tries to warn his visitors, including Alberto, who also gets trapped.
