Katy's broken relationship with Jason leads to an increasing resentment of her pregnancy. Dashed hopes of reconciling with Jason lead her to consider having an abortion. Katy's father John Joe begs her to think long and hard about this decision. When pressures at work are burdening Dee, she has difficulty expressing her emotions to Mack. But Mack perseveres and tells Dee how he feels.
