Welmoed Sijtsma meets Dutch people who were once victims of accidents, attacks, epidemics and other disasters that are etched in our collective memory. Such as the Fireworks Disaster, the Polder Crash, the Legionella outbreak in Bovenkarspel and the tsunami in Asia. On their behalf, she searches for unknown rescuers who helped them at the time, but who subsequently disappeared from view in the hectic pace.
