F1Sew Me What You GotIn the fourth-season opener, the new crop of designers invades New York City. It's pins-and-needles time when the first challenge finds the newbies racing to design whatever they want. They are given 10 minutes to grab from $50,000 worth of fabric in three tents set up in Bryant Park to create a garment that best reflects who they are as a designer. - I Started Crying
F2I Started CryingThe designers are asked to create a two-piece garment for Sarah Jessica Parker's "Bitten" line. After pitching their designs, Parker chooses seven who will be team leaders, working in teams of two to create the design. They have $15 and one day to complete their look. - Fashion Giant
F3Fashion GiantThe designers are asked to create a menswear look for ex-Giant football player Tiki Barber, which proves to be a difficult task since most of them are skilled in women's fashion and don't make clothes for men. The exception is Jack, who calls upon his expertise in men's tailoring to win the challenge. Carmen, who ran out of time and sent her model down the runway without a shirt, is auf'd. - What's the Skinny?
F5What's the Skinny?Each designer must create an outfit for a woman who has recently lost weight. The new outfit must incorporate aspects of the now-thin woman's personality, as well as the designer's own style. They are given one of the woman's outfits from before her weight loss as raw material for the new design, $10 to use for additional materials, and one day to complete the challenge. - En Garde!
F8En Garde!After designers are randomly paired the teams are asked to create an avant-garde outfit based on inspiration from their models' hairstyles. They have $300 and two days to create this look. Later, each team is asked to create a ready-to-wear outfit which embodies the essence of their avant-garde look. For the second piece, the designers have an additional $50. - Even Designers Get the Blues
F9Even Designers Get the BluesThe designers are tasked with creating an iconic look using deconstructed denim while also showing off the Levi's 501 legacy. They are given three minutes to collect provided denim (jeans, jackets, and cotton fabric) and one day to complete their designs. - The Art of Fashion
F11The Art of FashionIn their final challenge, designers visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art and had to create a look inspired by a painting from either the Greek and Roman Sculpture courtyard, the European Painting wing, or the Temple of Dendur. Christian, drawing inspiration from a Spanish portrait, wins. Sweet P is sent home. Roberto Cavalli is the guest judge. - Finale: Part 1
F13Finale: Part 1The finalists are given five months and $8000 to design a 12-piece collection for Fashion Week. In the interim, each gets a special visit in their hometown from Tim Gunn. Upon returning to New York City, two designers will go head-to-head for the chance to show their collection. - Finale: Part 2
F14Finale: Part 2The final three show at Fashion Week in New York. After displaying their collections on the runway at Bryant Park, Jillian Lewis comes in third place, Rami Kashou is the runner up and Christian Siriano is named the winner of season four. Victoria Beckham is the finale's guest judge.
