Simon is approached by an old client who is being blackmailed for a large amount of money on an invention. They insidiously use a magician's assistant to steal from the client's pocket the key to the train station, which hid the money. Simon sets off on the magic route and gets to a company that turns out to be run by a former evacuation officer from the background.
