The shady private eye and part-time accountant Norm Glinski is shot by an unknown attacker, while both his home and his office are ransacked by someone searching for documents. Norm fakes his own death and hires Angie and Matt to investigate who wants him dead. The evidence points to him having access to a secret recipe for baked goods, and there are several ruthless business-people fighting over it.
