Young formula One racer Eric Mantella's mother-manager Emilia hires the agency to investigate sabotage and death threats just before the race that may finally launch his career before the team goes bust. Suspects include rival team and racer, former mechanic and a reluctant sponsor. Meanwhile Shade formally becomes Angie's partner, but his ex Becca moves out and expects him to tell their daughter Jules to spend most day a week with her.
