Luck is on Nikolay's side again. His new "signatories" are the Korablevs, who sold their souls: the wife for eating and not getting fat, and the husband for drinking and not getting drunk. Only Dachnik manages to convince them to break the contract. Lyuda and her father reconcile, and after that Nikolay turns to her fiance to help him break the deal with the Devil. Maksim receives for revision several cases in which souls were unfairly, as he believes, sent to hell.
